Our Community

Anniversary Celebrations

Every year, our Residents’ Association celebrates its anniversary during the last days of December or the first week of the New Year, blending the festive spirit of Christmas and New Year into a colourful and joyful event. The celebration features a variety of cultural and entertainment programmes where members of all age groups—from children to senior citizens—actively participate, showcasing their talents and enthusiasm. This vibrant gathering not only provides a platform for creative expression and enjoyment but also strengthens the sense of community and togetherness among residents, making it a true reflection of the spirit of our association.

Our Charity and Community Outreach

Guided by our vision and core values, our Association has been committed to helping those in need, both among our members and in the surrounding community, through acts of kindness such as financial assistance to underprivileged families, support during medical emergencies, distribution of essential supplies during calamities and thereby we strive to uphold our spirit of unity and care.

Grand Onam Celebrations

Every year, our Association joyfully celebrates Onam with great enthusiasm and a spirit of unity, transcending religious and cultural boundaries. Residents of all ages actively take part in a variety of festivities and cultural performances, making it a vibrant and inclusive occasion. Traditional events such as tug of war competitions, Kaikottikali, sports and games are also enjoyed by all residents. Residents also create beautiful floral carpets and participate in Pookalam competitions, showcasing their creativity and community spirit. A sumptuous Onasadhya is served to everyone, reinforcing the values of sharing and joy. Onam days are, therefore, truly a time of joy, sharing and community bonding.

Independence Day celebration

Every year, EMRA proudly celebrates Independence Day by hoisting the national flag and paying tribute to our brave freedom fighters. This annual gathering instills a strong sense of national pride and a spirit of unity among the residents. It also serves as a meaningful occasion to pass on our core values of unity and national pride to the younger generation   helping them uphold our rich legacy.

Nurturing in-house talents and honouring meritorious students

Our Association proudly provides a platform for members, both elders and youngsters, to showcase their artistic talents during community gatherings and meetings. From music and dance to skits and other artistic performances, these moments not only entertain but strengthen our bonds as a vibrant and culturally rich community. Honouring students of merits is a regular practice in EMRA.

Annual Medical Camps

As part of our ongoing commitment to community well-being, our Association organizes a free medical camp almost every year. These camps offer essential health services such as blood tests, eye check-ups, and general medical consultations, benefiting both residents and those in nearby areas. This initiative reflects our dedication to preventive healthcare and our collective effort towards building a healthier community. During the COVID-19 period, the Association also distributed Homeo-preventive medicines and clinical masks to every family, demonstrating timely care and responsibility

Beyond our awareness and welfare programmes, our Residents Association remains actively engaged in a variety of initiatives designed to improve the daily lives of our members and foster a spirit of unity and mutual support.

Authority Reminders

We regularly issue timely reminders and petitions to relevant authorities for the upkeep of internal roads and civic amenities, ensuring that our surroundings remain safe and accessible.

Food Festivals

Seasonal food festivals are organized to celebrate culinary diversity and strengthen community bonds, where residents come together to enjoy traditional and homemade dishes.

Support for Students

At the time of school reopening, the Association has distributed essential items such as notebooks and umbrellas to children — a small gesture with a big impact.

Community Tours

We arrange occasional short trips and leisure tours exclusively for residents, encouraging recreation and fellowship among members across age groups.

Resident Directory

A well-organized directory containing details of all families within the Association has been compiled. This enhances internal communication and promotes a stronger sense of belonging.

Installing Road Name Boards

For clarity and convenience, the Association has installed well-marked name boards across all internal roads and lanes within our jurisdiction.

Grievance Redressal

We act promptly on resident concerns, addressing issues through timely intervention and by liaising with appropriate authorities to bring about effective solutions.

Awareness and Community Welfare Initiatives

As part of our ongoing commitment to community welfare and responsible living, our Residents Association, in collaboration with various government departments and civic bodies, organized a series of awareness programmes for the benefit of our members.

First Aid Awareness class

Experienced doctors conducted informative sessions on the importance of administering basic first aid during emergencies, equipping residents with essential life-saving skills.

Road Safety Awareness

Officers from the Regional Transport Office (RTO), Kozhikode, led interactive classes focusing on road safety and preventive measures to reduce accidents, promoting responsible behaviour among drivers and pedestrians alike.

Career Guidance Sessions

To empower our youth, we host sessions with experienced professionals who offer career guidance and help students navigate academic and vocational pathways.

Waste Management Education

With the support of Kozhikode Corporation, residents were educated on effective waste segregation methods and proper disposal techniques for organic and non-organic waste, focussing effectively on disposal of plastics and other non  organic materials and thereby helping us move towards a cleaner and more sustainable environment.

Substance Abuse Awareness Classes

Officials from the Excise department conducted sessions highlighting the harmful effects of drug and alcohol use, especially among the youth, and the need to build a healthier addiction-free society.

Promoting Organic farming practices

As part of our commitment to sustainable living and healthier lifestyles, we encourage our residents to grow vegetables and fruits in their backyards or terraces using organic methods free from harmful chemicals and pesticides. To support this initiative, we organise classes and provide guidance and also distribute saplings and thereby help creating a healthy and eco-friendly lifestyle choice.

These programmes not only enhanced awareness but also inspired proactive participation from our community, reinforcing our shared values of health, safety, and environmental values. These diverse initiatives reflect our shared commitment to nurturing a caring, informed, and connected community. Together, we continue to build a vibrant, responsive Sessions and responsible neighbourhood that cares for everyone.

Sessions on Energy conservation and rooftop solar power installation

As part of our green living initiatives, our Residents’ Association conducted awareness sessions on energy conservation and installation of rooftop solar panels. Experts from KSEB shared practical tips for reducing energy usage and saving energy. They also explained various technical and financial aspects of adopting solar power at home.

Empowering women through skill development

As part of our women empowerment efforts, the Association organized training programmes and skill development initiatives in areas such as home-based businesses, aiming at helping women generate income through self-employment.
